Biography:

Sophia Pauline began her career as a performer by busking in Paris outside the Centre Pompidou. She developed her clown character and started her own company in 1983.  She performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and at schools and festivals across the country as Sweet Pea the clown, with her unique style of mime, movement and storytelling.

She moved to Miami, Florida in 1990 to break into the movies, and ended up working for a local British Theatre in Education company based on Miami Beach. (It doesn't matter where you go, you always take yourself with you! Lessons learned.)
Sophia became a teacher, a department head and a literacy leader in the local school system, and only dabbled in theatre from time to time, appearing in pantomime with the late Davy Jones of the Monkees, with The Gold Coast Theatre based on Miami Beach, Florida.    Returning to the UK in 2012, Sophia tutors during term time. She took her show based on her children's book 'The Butterfly: A Story For Children Of All Ages' to the Fringe in 2016 and a new look at the poem 'Tarentella' by Hillaire Belloc in 2017, and now returns to busking as a full circle career move.  Please support my new venture by tuning in and donating through Apple Pay, Google Pay, BACS or PayPal on the "DONATE" button.
